AIX Prevails in Patent Dispute with IGT, Solidifying its Position in the Gaming Technology Sector

AIX, a firm specializing in gaming technology, has successfully refuted allegations of patent infringement levied against its Foundation casino management platform by International Game Technology (IGT). IGT had asserted that AIX’s platform violated four of its patents pertaining to cashless gaming technology and pursued licensing fees that could have substantially escalated the expenses associated with AIX’s platform for casino proprietors.

Nevertheless, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), following a comprehensive examination, ruled in favor of AIX and nullified all of IGT’s assertions. AIX furnished evidence demonstrating that the technology under scrutiny was already established or self-evident when IGT submitted its patents.

This triumph holds particular importance for AIX as it substantiates the authenticity of their platform and safeguards their pricing structure. John Aix, the originator of AIX, conveyed a sense of relief and proclaimed that the patents should have never been brought against his enterprise initially.

This victory follows other calculated actions taken by AIX, including the recent designation of a new CFO possessing a robust background in corporate finance. This appointment, coupled with the advantageous USPTO decision, indicates a promising path for AIX and its dedication to delivering economically viable solutions to the gaming sector.

Acres has been heavily focused on collaborations recently. A prime illustration is their joint effort with Maverick Gaming to implement Acres’ CMS+ software and digital payment casino application across Maverick’s gaming establishments. This software integrates effortlessly with Foundation’s hardware, providing casinos with streamlined access to crucial information and enabling the utilization of mobile technology for enhanced communication within the casino environment.
