BetMGM is creating a stir in the poker realm by presenting its inaugural poker competition at the celebrated Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas from June 23rd to 26th. This thrilling contest will be integrated into the esteemed 2022 Aria Poker Classic.
Luke Staudenmaier, the Poker Director at BetMGM, conveyed his excitement, remarking that they are delighted to be a significant contributor to the Poker Classic and utilize Aria’s heritage as a poker destination. This competition underscores BetMGM’s collaboration with MGM Resorts, further strengthening their dedication to uniting both virtual and in-person poker players.
The competition itself features a $3,500 entry fee, with a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million, ensuring high-stakes gameplay for No-Limit Hold’em aficionados. Amplifying the thrill, Aria will hold its first-ever live poker Mystery Bounty event on June 25th, providing a distinct variation with a $600 buy-in.
To enhance accessibility to the tournament, BetMGM is conducting daily and weekly qualifying events, granting a minimum of 15 players the opportunity to secure a coveted spot in the main event. These packages encompass not only the buy-in but also travel costs and an opulent five-night stay at the Aria.
As BetMGM broadens its reach, they remain committed to advocating for responsible gaming. They furnish their patrons with tools like GameSense to guarantee a secure and pleasurable gaming experience.
The British Columbia Lottery has joined forces with MGM Resorts, a collaborator since 2017, on an initiative to combat gambling addiction. This is not MGM’s initial foray into this area, however. They spearheaded a comparable effort in March for Problem Gambling Awareness Month. Both MGM Resorts and BetMGM are partnering with the National Council on Problem Gambling to truly effect change on this critical matter.
