Wagering Makes the Difference: Betsson’s New Campaign Celebrates the Thrill of the Bet

A premier gaming enterprise, Betsson, is launching a fresh initiative themed around the concept of “Wagering Makes the Difference.” Rather than emphasizing substantial winnings, Betsson aims to remind everyone that even a modest stake can significantly enhance the excitement of watching a match.

Commemorating their 60th year, they are going above and beyond with a collection of advertisements (almost entirely produced internally!) that showcase how wagering can heighten the thrill of the game. Consider it akin to adding a dash of spice to an already delectable dish.

Jesper Svensson, the Chief Executive Officer, clearly takes pride in this new direction, deeming it their most audacious campaign to date. He posits that it strengthens Betsson’s standing as a genuinely exhilarating contender in the sector.

The advertisements themselves, helmed by director Rodrigo Saavedra, ingeniously illustrate how a simple wager can transform an ordinary game into a captivating spectacle. This approach mirrors the recent strategies employed by bet365, another prominent name in the industry.

Kay Höök, Betsson’s Global Brand Director, stresses that while they cannot dictate victories or defeats, they can assure that a bet, regardless of its size, infuses an added layer of excitement. It’s about relishing the anticipation, the peaks and valleys, and ultimately, extracting greater enjoyment from the entire experience.

This revitalized campaign is poised to debut across ten nations throughout Europe and Latin America.

Our true aim was to move the emphasis away from solely chasing profits and towards having an enjoyable experience,” Hawke clarified. “It’s not that substantial winnings are unattainable, but rather that we aspire for individuals to recognize that engaging in a responsible manner can be an entertaining pursuit in its own right, irrespective of the outcome.” This declaration follows Betsson’s latest purchase of BetFirst, a Belgian sports wagering and gaming provider, for a considerable sum of €120 million (equivalent to $130 million).
