Pat Davis Appointed as New CEO of British Columbia Lottery Corporation

The British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) has declared the selection of Pat Davis as its new leader and chief executive, alongside several other executive appointments.

Davis spearheaded the modernization of the organization’s technological infrastructure and the execution of its digital plan during his tenure as BCLC’s Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Business Technology.

Before this, Davis held leadership positions in enterprise architecture and project management, and he was also a member of the British Columbia Chief Information Officer Council.

Davis takes over from Linda Cavanaugh, who has been acting as BCLC’s interim leader and chief executive since the beginning of this year. Cavanaugh assumed the role from Greg Moore, who was appointed Acting President and CEO in September 2019 when Jim Lightbody took a medical leave and subsequently stepped down in December 2021.

“Pat brings a wealth of expertise in both the technology and gaming sectors,” stated Greg Moore, Chair of the BCLC Board of Directors.

We are certain of his expertise and are convinced that his commitment to honesty, athlete well-being, and representing the interests of athletes and the region will further propel BCLC to be a socially-minded organization operating at the highest levels.

In the meantime, BCLC has declared that Dan Bibby and Sandra Austin will be named Chief Operating Officer and Chief Human Resources Officer, respectively, on a permanent basis.

Bibby and Austin have been acting in these roles temporarily for a number of months but will now officially take on their positions.
