The Gaming Authority of Malta (MGA) has rescinded the operating permit of AMGO iGaming Malta.

A public statement was released by the regulatory body on October 31, 2023, outlining the justifications for the license annulment. Primarily, the firm neglected to remit licensing dues for the duration spanning November 22, 2022, to November 22, 2023, constituting a violation of Regulation 3(1)(b) of the Gaming Licence Fees Regulations. The outstanding balance due is €13,915.12 (roughly $14,728.50 USD).

Furthermore, AMGO iGaming Malta also fell short in submitting compliance contributions to the MGA within the prescribed timeframes, contravening Regulation 3(1)(a) and Regulation 6 of the Gaming Licence Fees Regulations.

An additional transgression by AMGO iGaming Malta, as identified by the MGA, was a breach of Regulation 38 of the Player Protection Directive. The MGA ascertained that the enterprise “lacked sufficient financial provisions encompassing its business activities” and “did not fulfill its monetary commitments to patrons promptly, or the Authority possesses grounds to suspect that such a breach is impending.”

AMGO iGaming, an international gaming corporation managing numerous gambling platforms, has encountered difficulties with the Malta Gaming Authority. Apparently, they have experienced certain complications, such as failing to meet financial obligations and neglecting to fully adhere to regulations established by the Maltese regulators. This is not their initial encounter with such matters, as past occurrences of non-compliance have been documented. This recent notification significantly disrupts their Maltese business activities, compelling them to reevaluate their standing within the area.
